Meet and hire qualified applicants from the NCA countries.

NCA Job Fair

We at Labor Consultants International believe the more doors that employers keep open for themselves to secure a consistent workforce, the more success they will find themselves in the H-2B program. The newest and most fruitful opportunities for success within the H-2 programs lie within the recruitment efforts taking place within the NCA countries.

With the additional 20,000 specifically for FY2024, we are presented with opportunities to finally exercise an alternative solution to this cap crisis outside of cap relief, cap exempt returning workers, and in-country transfers. Bringing in workers from NCA countries, regardless of lottery placement or dates requested, gives employers the opportunity to bring in a workforce brand new to the H-2B program that are young and eager to work in the U.S the right way.

By attending the job fair, you can connect with a willing, able, and eager workforce that can come in regardless of your standing in the H-2B lottery, the status of the statutory cap, or the status of cap relief. The ministries of Guatemala and El Salvador will bring in hundreds of qualified candidates that can help to fit your needs for your business with a variety of experience.

Attendees of the job fair have a dramatically lower absconsion rate vs. employers who do not attend the job fair and hire blindly. The ministries will provide you with a translator to help conduct interviews while also providing an efficient and organized system of funneling applicants to you for a quick and easy turnaround.

Past attendees of the job fair have raved about the success of their current employees from these countries because of attending the job fair. Don’t miss out on this opportunity, and let your name be written as one of these success stories!

What should I do to prepare for interviewing potential workers?

We recommend having examples of the work you do, as well as what machinery (if any) you use. Many employers will show pictures or videos to help further explain the full scope of the job. It can also be beneficial to discuss the areas the workers would potentially be in (weather, housing, where in the US you’re located, etc.).

Am I responsible for my flight(s) and hotel costs?

Yes.

Am I responsible for all meals during the trip?

Lunch will be provided during the Job Fair in Guatemala. In addition, LCI will cover 1 dinner per country during the trip.

Am I responsible for arranging my flight(s) and hotel?

Once the fee is paid, you will receive an email with the hotel room blocks.

You will be responsible for flights, including the flight between El Salvador and Guatemala on February 11th.

  • Guatemala Airport: La Aurora International Airport
  • El Salvador Airport: El Salvador International Airport Saint Óscar Arnulfo Romero y Galdámez

If I only want to attend one country’s Job Fair and not the other, is that an option?

Yes! You can attend just one country if you prefer.

How will transportation work once we arrive in El Salvador and Guatemala?

Transportation is arranged to and from the airport as long as you provide us with your flight information. Transportation to and from the Job Fair each day will be provided as well.

I elected to use a Foreign Recruiter this season. Do they participate in this Job Fair? If so, how? If not, who does the recruiting?

Foreign Recruiters are not a part of this Job Fair. This is held directly with the Ministry of Labor from each respective country who acts as the recruiter. This program is supported and partially funded by USAID
